Goldman Sachs reportedly hired David Wells to lead US media strategy, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal.
Wells is currently the head of marketing and communications EMEA for JP Morgan Chase. He will report to Lucas Van Praag, global head of corporate communications for the company. Calls to Goldman Sachs were not returned.
The company is facing growing reputation issues, and a new poll of Bloomberg subscribers shows that half of global investors think Goldman Sachs' reputation is "a lot worse" than six months ago.
