Sony Electronics
announced today that it would eliminate 8,000 jobs and cut back on planned investments. When asked whether the cutbacks would impact Sony's communications department, Rick Clancy, SVP of corporate communications at Sony, told
PRWeek there are no changes “to report at this time.” Also when asked whether Sony's plans to rein in investments would impact the company’s relationship with its PR agencies, Clancy replied again that there are, “no changes to report at this time.”
