PURCHASE, NY: PepsiCo has selected Weber Shandwick as PR agency partner for its Diet Pepsi brand.
Weber is Diet Pepsi's first PR agency partner, said Melisa Tezanos, senior director of communications for PepsiCo Beverages. Diet Pepsi previously worked with firms on a project basis, she added.
The Interpublic Group agency, which works with various PepsiCo brands, was also tapped for the company's Mountain Dew account last month.
In February, PepsiCo said it would review agencies across its brands to trim its roster of firms. At the time, the company worked with Edelman, Ketchum, Fleishman-Hillard, Weber, and Ruder Finn.
