CHICAGO: Weber Shandwick has picked Maryanne Giustino O'Dowd to lead its corporate affairs practice in Chicago. It has also named David Polk EVP in the unit.
Giustino O'Dowd has worked in the firm's corporate practice since 2004 on reputation management, media relations and training, and issues management.
Polk has joined the agency from Amgen, where he served as executive director of corporate communications. He has also worked at Tyco, Raytheon, Amoco, and General Motors.
