NEW YORK: The Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Summer Games Bid Committee has named Weber Shandwick its global agency for communications support.
The firm will help the organization with an international PR campaign as it works to bring the 2020 Summer Games to Tokyo, working to tell the committee's story and explain the benefits of hosting the Games in the city.
Weber previously worked on the 16-month-long communications effort for Russia's bid to host the 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi.
