The New York Times Company has made an investment in Automattic [no sic], the provider of the WordPress blogging software that powers our blogs. I've long suspected that the NYT used WordPress, and this story confirms it. Although the Times Company is only a small investor in the latest round, it's a great move for them. I, for one, welcome our new blogging overlords.
