In resolving a couple of issues involving campaign finance laws and the DailyKos, the Federal Elections Commission has decided the whole blogosphere thing isn't a fad, and they've
officially declared political blogs and bloggers "media" in the eyes of federal election law. (Blog entries from
TechCrunch and
Eat the Press.) It makes me wonder whether blogs are on the road to becoming regulated like the mainstream media. Perhaps this is putting that process on the fast track.
