The Bivings Report (TBR)
ranked the ten best newspaper Web sites, and
The New York Times and
Washington Post came out on top. Sites were judged based on features, design, aesthetics and usability. The blog report excitedly mentioned the
Times rumor to drop TimesSelect, and praised the
Post’s database applications. I have to mention third place,
USA Today, as it was chosen for having “the most robust social networking features.”
TBR seemed to favor a Web product that's complimenting the print product and simultaneously utilizing modern technology to provide a different news experience.
