Despite recent industry layoff reports, a survey by professional staffing agency Robert Half International places unemployment for PR managers at an extremely low 0.1%.

That statistic places unemployment for PR managers – a bizjournals.com report was not more specific about what types of PR professionals were surveyed – considerably lower than that of lawyers and financial compliance officers (2.3%), editors (3.9%), accountants (5.3%), computer and information systems managers (6.3%), and credit analysts (5.2%).

Last month, the country's overall joblessness rate was 9.5%.
