AUSTIN, TX: The University of Texas at Austin will launch a strategic communications certificate program for working professionals next year. 

The program, part of the university's professional development center, will feature coursework covering crisis communications, measurement, storytelling, and strategic message delivery, among other subjects.

Liz Alexander, whose 25-year career in communications spans work for the British government's Appeals Service, Cathay Pacific Airways, Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas, and the Environmental Protection Agency, will teach courses.
