MIAMI: The Jeffrey Group promoted Mike Valdes-Fauli to president, effective today, as Jorge Ortega is stepping down from the position to pursue other opportunities.

Valdes-Fauli, who has been with the agency since 2004, was promoted to MD of US Hispanic in June. Ortega joined the agency as president in 2005 and, prior to that, was an MD at Burson-Marsteller.
