HARTFORD, CT: The Hartford Financial Services Group hired Karen Tripp as EVP of marketing and communications, effective September 27.
Tripp replaces Connie Weaver, who left The Hartford in April to serve as EVP and chief marketing and communications officer for TIAA-CREF. Previously VP of corporate communications for L-3 Communications, Tripp will now oversee brand management and advertising, executive and employee communications, media relations, and philanthropic activities for The Hartford.
