MINNEAPOLIS: Best Buy has named Matthew Furman SVP of communications and public affairs, effective June 22.
He will report to interim CEO Mike Mikan. The company's previous chief executive, Brian Dunn, resigned in April after the company reportedly began an investigation into his personal behavior. In March, Best Buy said it would close 50 big box retail stores after a $1.7 billion loss for the quarter ending March 3.
