NEW YORK: Edelman's global consumer chair Christina Smedley is leaving the agency at the end of October to join eBay-owned online commerce company PayPal as VP of global communications.
In her newly created position Smedley, who worked at Edelman since January 2005, will report to Alan Marks, SVP of global communications at eBay.
“Christina emerged as the right mix of skill, global perspective, strong consumer background, and throughout her career she's done about everything in communications,” explained Marks.
