Nonprofit expands, rebrands Jewish-focused Web site

NEW YORK: Nonprofit publisher Nextbook unveiled Tablet Magazine, an online portal about Jewish life, culture, and news, on June 8. The Web site is a rebranded and bigger version of Nextbook.org.

While Nextbook.org concentrated its editorial content on Jewish arts and culture, Tablet will also include political news, current events, and analysis. The site also aims “to tie cultural coverage much more closely to current public discourse,” according to a letter to readers from Alana Newhouse, editor-in-chief of the site.
