NEW YORK: Miramax has lured Matthew Hiltzik away from New York’s
Democratic Party.
Hiltzik, previously the party’s press secretary and deputy executive
director, is joining the movie house today as director of corporate
PR.
The 27-year-old, who had worked on the exploratory committee for Hillary
Clinton’s upcoming Senate campaign, was hired by Miramax co-founder
Harvey Weinstein, an ardent supporter of the Democratic party.
Hiltzik replaces Andrew Stengel, who is shifting across to Miramax’s
