McDonald's names Coffing SVP of corporate relations

OAK BROOK, IL: McDonald's Corporation promoted Bridget Coffing to SVP of corporate relations. She will report to CEO Jim Skinner.

Coffing, who previously served as VP of global external communications, is replacing Jack Daly, who died in February. In her new role, Coffing will oversee corporate functions, such as media relations, marketing communications, PR, corporate social responsibility, internal communications, and government relations.

Coffing was not immediately available for comment. She joined McDonald's in 1985 from GolinHarris.
