Lowdown: Inside conversation
APCO Worldwide and Gagen MacDonald jointly sponsored an online survey of US employees to explore how companies communicate with their staffs, with a particular focus on use of internal social media. In the survey of 1,000 employees, 51% said their company employs internal networking tools. These results highlight the specific tools companies use, as well as how such activity – or the lack of it – impacts employee advocacy to uphold the company's brand and reputation.
