Lowdown: A civil tongue
Weber Shandwick and Powell Tate released the "Civility in America: A Nationwide Survey" report, examining whether common courtesy is on the decline in the country's politics and in the media. Working with KRC Research, they found a 140% increase in online mentions of "civility" since June 2010. More than 63% of respondents told the agencies that they "believe we have a major civility problem in America," while 81% "believe incivility in our government is harming America's future."
