HSBC's head of UK comms Mark Hemingway is set to leave the organization as part of a wider communications restructuring at the group.

Hemingway will leave the bank in the new year, and the role will be discontinued upon his departure.  

Hemingway joined HSBC in the summer of 2008 with responsibility for UK personal finance media relations, following 26 years leading the press office at Halifax/HBOS.
