General Motors media director Cooney joins Ford

DEARBORN, MI: Jay Cooney, director of media relations and news operations at General Motors, has joined the Ford Motor Company communications team.

Cooney, who was with GM for 11 years, began his role today as global news manager at Ford, reporting to Karen Hampton, corporate communications director at the company.

Cooney's direct reports comprise a team of four staffers: Scott Monty, manager of global digital and multimedia communications; Marcey Evans, manager of manufacturing, labor, and legal affairs; Kelli Felker, manager of broadcast ...
