LOS ANGELES: Miramax Films last week announced a 13% staff reduction, including posts in PR and marketing.

The studio said it was letting go 65 of its 485 employees. Staff were informed of the cuts on August 13 and let go immediately, said a Miramax staffer. The cuts to PR were mostly low- and mid-level, but the exact number of publicity staff let go was not available.
