ROCKVILLE, MD: The FDA is set to award two communications contracts worth a total of up to $14 million aimed at stopping young people smoking.
The scope of the work is contained in two pre-solicitation notices about multiple award $7.0 million IDIQ contracts for assignments under the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act passed in 2009. Under the law, the FDA is charged with addressing young people's tobacco use and dependence.
