Energy bill stalled as Democrats modify provisions
Republicans stalled a broad energy bill in Senate this morning, failing to advance the bill by one vote. According to Politico.com, the Senate Democrats are looking to compromise by removing a controversial tax provision of $21 billion that cuts tax breaks to major oil companies.
