ARLINGTON, VA: The Department of Defense (DoD) said in a statement on May 5 that it would withdraw a report that cleared a DoD public affairs program which used retired military officers with ties to defense contractors as media analysts.

The statement noted that there were inaccuracies in the January 14 report and the DoD was conducting an independent internal review.
