NEW YORK: Frank DeMaria stepped down as SVP of corporate communications at NASDAQ OMX this month, a company source confirmed.

The company hired DeMaria for the role in June 2010. Previously, he served as head of communications at Newsweek starting in November 2008. DeMaria has also worked as SVP and global head of media relations at Thomson Reuters and director at Brunswick Group.

It was immediately unclear who would replace DeMaria in the role.
