WASHINGTON: Citigroup has hired John Emling to co-head its federal legislative affairs team, replacing former managing director and head of government affairs Robert Schellhas.

Emling will be joining Citigroup's global government affairs office, where he will be one of two heads for the federal legislative affairs team. He replaces Robert Schellhas, who formerly ran the department without a co-head and left the company in May to become a principal at Ernst & Young.
