CDC promotes new obesity prevention program
ATLANTA: The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is using partnerships with business groups to raise awareness about a new workplace obesity prevention program.
The “Lean Works” program targets small- to medium-sized businesses, offering them a Web-based, step-by-step plan and obesity calculator to help them build and promote the program to employees, said Marilyn Batan, a public health analyst at the CDC.
