WICHITA, KS: Cargill has expanded its recall on ground turkey products to the company's Springdale, AR facility, following a possible salmonella contamination--the second such recall in two months.
Yesterday, Cargill issued a press release as a cautionary measure, recalling approximately 185,000 pounds of 85-percent-lean fresh ground turkey products after the USDA confirmed one test sample yielded low levels of the salmonella strain.
