NEW YORK: Richard Powell, former chief operating officer of Burson-Marsteller, has been appointed chief communications officer at Bloomberg. Powell will be filling the role vacated by Judith Czelusniak last May.
Burson-Marsteller has begun seeking out Powell's replacement. He will leave the company in mid-January. Paul Cordasco, director of marketing and communications at Burson-Marsteller, said Powell's responsibilities “will be distributed to vice chairs Don Baer and Karen Hughes, new EVP Jay Leveton, our regional CEOs, and our CFO and worldwide HR team."
