A Texas woman sued video rental company Blockbuster for allegedly sharing personal information with Facebook through the company's Beacon marketing program, the Associated Press reported. Cathryn Elaine Harris claims that Blockbuster violated the Video Privacy Protection Act when it disclosed customer information about her video rentals and purchases to the Web site,. Blockbuster countered that its Facebook partnership includes sufficient privacy protection.
