IRVINE, CA: After 30 years in auto PR, William Baker is retiring as director, special projects, at Land Rover North America, effective December 31. He is one of the eight senior execs who launched Land Rover's North America operations in 1986.
Baker served as Land Rover North America's VP of corporate communications from 1988-1997 when he moved to England to oversee the brand's global 50th anniversary activities. He returned to the US in 2000 after Ford had bought Land Rover.
