After photographer Jill Greenberg manipulated photos she took of Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) for The Atlantic Monthly and posted them to her Web site, Atlantic editor James Bennett said he will send a letter of apology to the Republican presidential candidate. The magazine's Jeffrey Goldberg also expressed shock at Greenberg's actions, calling the freelance photographer “obviously an indecent person who should not be working in magazine journalism.” The Atlantic has said it will not pay Greenberg for the photos.
