China releases progressive white paper on energy plan
China released a report on its plans to curb reliance on oil and gas and give top priority to developing renewable energy, reports the AP via Wired. Beijing will promote natural gas and hydroelectric, nuclear, solar, and wind energy, and take steps to restructure its coal industry.
