I have to admit, I was surprised when I saw that In Touch Weekly had foregone its usual nonsensical celebrity fluff on the cover last week, instead choosing to feature “The Heroes of Virginia” in response to the Virginia Tech tragedy.

I usually think of In Touch as a wannabe Us Weekly, but this cover choice almost moved them up to poor-man’s People magazine status. But now the New York Post is reporting that said In Touch cover was one of its lowest-selling at the newsstand for the year, so it’s unlikely we’ll see this kind of departure again. Case in point this week’s cover: Surprise Boob Jobs.
