the new chief of staff to Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick is planning a new “PR push," the
Boston Herald reports. Some early administrative decisions by Patrick generated a lot of unwanted media attention, including leasing a Cadillac Escalade for over $1,100 a month as his transportation about town and spending what some critics thought was an excessive amount of money on remodeling his office.
Sounding like a lot of corporate PR execs during crisis management situations, new chief of staff David Rubin, who helped manage the Democrat’s campaign, is quoted as saying, “They’re doing a lot of great work and it’s not getting covered because of some of these other things.”
