MINEOLA, NY: The Nassau County (NY) Industrial Development Agency has indicated Nicholas & Lence and WaxWords Inc. are qualified to promote the county as a place to create and keep jobs after an RFQ.
However, WaxWords has indicated it will bow out of the project because it has learned the work will be largely advertising-based, said CEO Alan Wax. Nicholas & Lence did not return request for comment.
The firms will be tasked with encouraging economic development in the Long Island, NY, county by creating a media plan based on market research, according to the RFQ.
Mary Grippo, chief marketing director for the Nassau Country Industrial Development Agency, said neither firm has started work, nor has a budget been decided.
