Comedian Jimmy Kimmel caused a bit of a stir at the upfront presentation for the ABC television network yesterday when late night host Jimmy Kimmel Live delivered a monologue to advertisers and reporters that took shots at rival Jay Leno and even ABC's programming. "These shows were so excited about? We're going to cancel about 90% of them," he said. "The truth is, we've been lying to you. Every year we lie to you and every year you come back for more. It's an abusive relationship."

Several blogs have written about the tirade, but so far, ABC has taken no action. Kimmel also mocked NBC and its decision to move the Tonight Show with Jay Leno to an earlier time slot: "They are giving Jay's fans something they really wanted: an early bird special."
