NBC is taking a step back after calling Conan O'Brien the "King of Late Night" in a press release only one week into his tenure as host of The Tonight Show. At the TV Critics Association press tour this week, NBC's late-night chief, Rick Ludwin, told reporters, "I think it was premature."
