FAQ: PRWeek Subscription & Format Changes-May 2009

Format & Delivery

When is the last printed weekly edition?

The April 27th issue will be the last printed weekly edition.  The first weekly electronic edition will be sent later that week, on Friday, May 1st.

How will I receive the weekly online edition going forward?
The weekly online edition will be in the form of a subscriber-only e-mail delivered to your inbox each Friday.

What is going to be different about the new printed monthly edition?
The monthly edition will have a completely new format, delivering a fresh new look packaged in a standard size magazine with increased page count.  Each issue will be anchored by an in-depth feature, including surveys and sector- or practice-specific specials. The content will be expanded, with more in-depth analyses, high-profile columnists, larger profiles, and more data-driven pieces. The most popular elements of the print weekly - including campaigns, launch pad, newsmaker, and the media section - will remain and be enhanced.

How will the print publication be delivered?
The print publication will be mailed via US Postal Service.

When should I expect the June issue to arrive?
We mail each issue via the USPS on the last day of the month prior to the month of the cover date. Dates of delivery will vary based on location. USPS guidelines indicate 3-7 days for periodical delivery.

Newsletters:

What is Breakfast Briefing?
Breakfast Briefing is the new and improved daily e-mail newsletter that offers all the latest headlines and links to articles on prweekus.com. It will also feature a breaking "in the news" component, where PRWeek reporters will provide communications context for all of the recent breaking news that originated either at PRWeek or other publications.  Anyone currently receiving our daily newsletter will receive the PRWeek Breakfast Briefing in its place.

If I already subscribe to the PRWeek daily newsletter will I now get two e-mails a day?
No.  If you are currently receiving the PRWeek daily e-mail newsletter you will begin receiving Breakfast Briefing on Friday May 1, 2009 and no longer receive the daily newsletter.

Will there still be any free e-mail newsletters?
Yes. In addition to Breakfast Briefing, anyone can sign up to receive the PRWeek Technology, Products&Tools, Healthcare, White Paper, Canada, and Careers newsletters.  Click here to subscribe to any or all of them.
