PARIS: Edelman has hired Florence Baranes-Cohen as director general of the agency's French operations.
Baranes-Cohen will succeed Isabelle Rahé-Journet, who will leave Edelman in mid-September. She will report to Robert Phillips, president and CEO of Edelman EMEA.
Prior to joining Edelman, Baranes-Cohen was group communications director at the Carrefour Group for the past seven years, where she led reputational activities and communications strategy for the French retailer.
France is one of Edelman's top four countries in the EMEA region and the base of its global executive positioning offering.
