LOS ANGELES: A federal judge on Monday sentenced former Fleishman-Hillard Los Angeles executives Douglas Dowie and John Stodder to incarceration.
Former LA GM Dowie received 42 months, 3 years probation, and $15,000 in fines. Former SVP of public affairs Stodder received 15 months, 3 years probation, and no fines. Both were issued a surrender date of March 30. Dowie maintained his innocence and said he would appeal. It is undecided whether Stodder will appeal or not.
A federal jury convicted both on counts of conspiracy and wire fraud last May in relation to their roles in allegedly defrauding the city's Department of Water and Power, among other agency clients.
