A number of Washington-based foreign ambassadors are moving on to other posts this summer,
reports the
Washington Diplomat. Ambassadors taking leave in the next few weeks include those of France, Sweden, Norway, and Hungary.
In parting, the wife of the French ambassador notes the freedom and relative anonymity that assignments in New York and Washington afford – including the ability to go rolling skating in Central Park – compared with the more formal behavior expected of diplomats’ wives in Paris.
