TMZ, the Web site famous for breaking news on Mel Gibson and other celebs-gone-wild, is having trouble staffing a planned outlet in DC, as Howard Kurtz
reports in the
Washington Post today. Interestingly, one DC person that the Web site discussed potential employment with is quoted as saying that people in Washington appear less interested than those in LA is selling snippets of gossip for public consumption. Plus there's the question of whether the personal foibles of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, or other lawmakers are as interesting as those of the West Coast beautiful people.
