BOSTON: Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications has hired Edwin "Ted" Carr as a senior adviser.
Carr is a former executive director of the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment. In his new role, he will help US companies looking to export goods and services abroad in addition to representing foreign governments in the US. He will also consult with companies that want to conduct business in the US.
Prior to joining RBSC, Carr was a member of Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick's economic development team. He also served as director of operations for former Housing and Urban Development Secretary and now New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and was a senior adviser to Commerce Secretary Ron Brown during the Clinton Administration.
