WASHINGTON: Retired US Army Col. Rudy Burwell is vacating his post as EVP of Hellerman Baretz Communications to start his own firm called the Burwell Group.
The new agency will focus on providing marketing and technology-related services to state and federal agencies as well as defense contractors in the aerospace industry.
Hellerman Baretz will help to fund the new firm as well as team up with it on communications engagements as well as other commercial projects, said Spencer Baretz, cofounder of Hellerman Baretz.
Burwell joined Hellerman Baretz 10 months ago. Prior to that, he served as chief of media operations for the Multi-National Corps during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
