NEW YORK: Burson-Marsteller has hired Robert Kapp as strategic adviser for the firm's US-China group, which provides communications support to US clients with business needs in China, as well as Chinese firms operating in the US.

Reporting to Daisy King, MD and head of the US-China specialty group, Kapp will assist with strategy, capability development, client counsel, business development, and expanding relationships with industry opinion leaders.  

Most recently, Kapp owned the consulting practice Robert A. Kapp Associates.

Previously, he led the US-China Business Council for 11 years. The organization supports American companies engaged in investment and trade with China. He has also served as president of the Washington Council on International Trade.
