BP is looking for a new head of global communications, according to reports in the Telegraph. The newspaper says it is likely that Andrew Gowers, head of media relations, will report to the new head of communications.
BP declined to comment on Tuesday night. However, Sky News reported that Bob Dudley, who will replace Tony Hayward as the company's chief executive next month, is actively involved in the process, although it is unclear whether the new recruit will report directly to him or to Steve Westwell, BP's chief of staff.
BP has not returned PRWeek's calls or e-mails for comment.
