BlogHer, a guide to women's blogs, is launching a six-city "Reach Out" tour this October to energize and educate women about the basics of blogging. The two-week tour kicks off from Boston October 11, and will offer one-day conferences to attendees.

The group's recent conference in San Francisco opened to positive reviews and indicated women-focused online ventures might be moving beyond a narrow "mommy" focus.
