Union Pacific names public affairs leaders

OMAHA, NE: Union Pacific Railroad has promoted Donna Kush, corporate communications assistant VP, to VP of public affairs for the Northern region.

OMAHA, NE: Union Pacific Railroad has promoted Donna Kush, corporate communications assistant VP, to VP of public affairs for the Northern region.

Kush, who has worked at Union Pacific since 2008, will succeed Joe Bateman, effective April 1. At that time, Bateman will become VP of government relations, leading special projects and serving in an advisory role until his October 1 retirement.

Corporate communications director Tom Lange will succeed Kush as assistant VP of corporate communications.

Union Pacific has also promoted Brenda Mainwaring to VP of public affairs for the Southern region. She will succeed Joe Adams, who will retire on May 31. Mainwaring joined the railroad company in 1997 and has served as public affairs director for Iowa and Nebraska since 2007.
